Established in 2008 by Yu-Hsiu Camille Chen and Peter Thomas, Bolderpictures is an independent film production company with offices in Perth, Australia and Shanghai, China. Bolderpictures is a private company incorporated in Australia.Bolderpictures aims to be ambitious, daring and bolder in the film projects that it pursues. The company aims to gather together the best of filmmaking resources in both China and Australia and bring forth highly marketable and quality feature film products for both Western and Asian film markets. Camille and Peter form the perfect partnership bringing diverse strengths to the company.Camille, Director and Producer, brings years of experience in the commercial film and television world, especially in the area of international co-production. Her profound understanding of the sensibilities of both Eastern and Western cultures is a valuable asset in forming projects of strong appeal to both markets. International investment banker and Harvard-graduate, Peter provides business backbone to the company as Executive Producer.In 2009, Bolderpictures presented its first drama short film project, CONSCIENCE,an outburst of creative energy and sophisticated adaptation of Italo Calvino's original story. CONSCIENCE was screened as part of the 2009 Cannes Short Film Corner.Little Sparrows is the first feature drama film under the banner of Bolderpictures.
